The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5500U dual-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. It includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB SSD for storage. The system ships with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed, targeting professionals who need a portable business machine.

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and new 1TB SSD

The pre-installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system provides immediate access to business features such as domain join and BitLocker encryption. The new 1TB 2.5 inch SATA SSD replaces any previous mechanical drive, delivering faster boot times and application loading compared to a traditional hard disk. No additional software bundles are mentioned in the specifications.

Two memory slots support up to 16 GB

The laptop contains two memory slots with 8GB of DDR3 already installed, allowing an upgrade to a maximum of 16 GB if required. The 2.5 inch SATA SSD is a standard form factor, making storage replacement straightforward for technicians familiar with business notebooks. Buyers who need more storage capacity or a discrete graphics solution should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Can the 8GB DDR3 memory be upgraded and to what maximum?

The laptop has two memory slots and supports up to 16 GB of DDR3, so you can add another module or replace both for more capacity.

What component limits sustained performance first under heavy load?

The dual-core i7-5500U reaches its 3.00 GHz turbo ceiling quickly, so the processor itself becomes the bottleneck before memory or storage saturate.

How loud and hot does the E5450 get when running all day?

The Intel HD Graphics 5500 and low-power CPU keep thermals modest; fan noise stays low during typical office work and rises only under continuous heavy compute.
