14.0" FHD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch full-HD laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i5-5300U processor. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240 GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed. The non-touch display runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Upgrade from slower storage and less memory

Replacing a mechanical hard drive with the new 240 GB SSD cuts boot and application load times. The 16 GB memory ceiling matches the board maximum, so multitasking headroom is fixed at this level. The jump is worthwhile when moving from a system with 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM and a spinning disk.

Suits office work and light mobility

This configuration suits professionals who need a compact Windows 10 machine for document editing, web apps and video calls. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 limits 3D and heavy creative workloads. Buyers who want more storage, a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a newer Windows licence should look elsewhere.
