Purpose-built business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit installed and includes a 365-day parts and labour warranty. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display suits office work and travel.

Memory and storage headroom

The system comes with 16 GB of DDR3 memory, which matches the maximum supported capacity across the two available slots, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. A new 240 GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD provides the primary storage; there is no secondary hard drive bay, so capacity cannot be expanded internally without replacing the drive.

Chassis and daily connectivity

The black and silver chassis houses Intel HD Graphics 5500 for standard business visuals and video playback. Integrated Bluetooth and a webcam support remote meetings, while the 2.5-inch SATA interface means any future storage swap uses a widely available drive form factor. The 64-bit operating system ensures full access to the installed memory.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" FHD 1920 x 1080 display work with my older docking station that only has VGA and DVI ports?

The laptop includes a VGA port and a DisplayPort output so you can connect to VGA directly or use a DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter for your existing dock.

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-5600U is reaching its 3.20 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or run a utility such as HWiNFO while stressing the CPU; the clock speed should climb to 3.20 GHz on at least one core when thermal headroom allows.

Does the box contain a power adapter and are the two memory slots already populated with the 16GB DDR3?

The system ships with a 65 W AC adapter, and the 16 GB DDR3 fills both SODIMM slots so no further memory can be added without removing existing modules.
