Core hardware and intended use

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U processor running at 2.60GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. A fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard are included for secure logins and low-light typing.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This unit suits professionals needing a portable Windows 10 machine with biometric security and solid-state speed for office applications. Buyers who require a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel, discrete graphics performance, or a lighter chassis should consider other models. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 limits 3D and video workloads.

Deciding specification — 1366x768 non-touch display

The 1366x768 resolution on a 14-inch non-touch screen determines usable workspace and visual clarity. Text and images will appear less sharp than on higher-density panels. Confirm this resolution meets your daily productivity needs before purchasing.

Will the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drive an external monitor at 1366x768 alongside the built-in 14.0 inch panel?
