Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5470 is a 14.0 inch FHD notebook powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB DDR3 memory and a new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Memory headroom and fast storage

Two memory slots support up to 16 GB total capacity, allowing a straightforward upgrade path when workloads grow. The NVMe drive replaces a traditional hard disk, freeing the system from mechanical latency and delivering quicker boot and application load times. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete card.

Step up from slower storage or less RAM

This configuration suits users moving from a hard-drive laptop or a system capped at 8 GB who need responsive multitasking and ample space for local files. Buyers who require a dedicated GPU for rendering or a touchscreen for pen input will not find those features here. The jump is worthwhile when fast NVMe storage and upgradeable memory are the priority.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i7-6600U throttle under long workloads?

The dual-core processor reaches a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency, but sustained performance will depend on the laptop's cooling design and ambient temperature.

How loud and hot does the E5470 get during all-day use?

The system uses Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated graphics, which typically generates less heat than discrete GPUs, resulting in moderate fan activity during extended office tasks.

What memory type must already be installed for the 8 GB to work?

The unit comes with 8 GB of DDR3 memory installed across two slots, supporting a maximum of 16 GB total.
