DELL Latitude E5470 i7-6600U 8GB 500GB NVMe

This DELL Latitude E5470 is a 14.0 inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.60 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The system ships with no operating system installed.

Suitable for office work and light multitasking

The dual-core processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handle everyday productivity, web browsing and video playback. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The 1366 x 768 display limits detailed visual work. Users wanting more than 16 GB of RAM cannot upgrade beyond that limit.

No operating system included

You must supply and install your own Windows or Linux licence before the laptop is usable. The 500GB NVMe SSD provides the primary storage and boot drive. Two memory slots allow expansion up to the 16 GB maximum supported by the platform.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Core i7-6600U produce when the E5470 runs all day?

The dual-core i7-6600U has a low base frequency of 2.60 GHz and a turbo of 3.40 GHz, so sustained workloads keep thermals modest and the cooling fan stays relatively quiet during long sessions.

What must I supply myself before the Latitude E5470 can boot and be usable?

The laptop ships with no operating system installed, so you will need to provide your own Windows licence or alternative OS and install it on the 500 GB NVMe drive.

Can I keep using my older DDR3 memory modules when upgrading this Latitude E5470 to its 16 GB maximum?

The system uses DDR3 SO-DIMMs and has two slots supporting up to 16 GB total, so existing DDR3 sticks that match the required specification can be reused for an upgrade.
