Dell Latitude E5470 14.0" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5470 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor running at 2.70 GHz with a 3.60 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate use.

Installation and common issues

Memory upgrades are straightforward because the chassis provides two slots supporting up to 16 GB total capacity. The 2.5 inch SATA drive bay allows simple storage swaps without special tools. A frequent issue is the limited 128GB SSD filling quickly, so plan for external storage or a larger drive replacement.

Sustained load behaviour

The quad-core processor maintains its 3.60 GHz turbo under load while the Intel HD Graphics 530 handles baseline visual tasks without discrete GPU heat. Thermal throttling may appear during extended heavy workloads due to the compact 14.0 inch form factor. Battery runtime decreases noticeably when all cores sustain high frequencies.
