Genuine Dell Latitude E5540 lid assembly

This replacement part is a genuine Dell original 15.6" LCD back cover lid assembly with hinges included. It is designed specifically for the Latitude E5540 laptop and carries Dell part number A133G2. The package supplies both left and right hinges plus two wireless antenna cables. It suits technicians or owners repairing a damaged chassis on this model.

Verify exact model and hinge condition before

Confirm the laptop is a Dell Latitude E5540 before purchase; other 15.6" models use different mount points and cable routing. Check that the existing hinge brackets and screw posts on the base are intact so the new lid seats correctly. Inspect the current antenna cable paths to ensure they match the two cables supplied with this assembly. The part number A133G2 should match the label on the original lid if present.

Passive metal shell adds no heat or noise

The assembly is a passive structural component with no moving electronics, so it produces zero noise and draws no power during normal use. Thermals are unaffected because the lid does not contain fans, heat pipes or circuitry that would alter system temperatures. Installation simply restores the original chassis rigidity and antenna function without changing the laptop's thermal profile.
