Latitude E5570 FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB DDR3 memory and a new 240GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. No operating system is included.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits buyers who want a 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 display, integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and up to 16 GB maximum memory support across two slots. It is not for buyers who need a pre-installed operating system, discrete graphics, touchscreen input or storage beyond the single 240GB SATA drive.

Sustained-load behaviour

Under sustained load the dual-core i7-6600U maintains clocks up to its 3.40 GHz turbo while the integrated HD Graphics 520 handles display output. The 240GB SATA SSD provides consistent read and write speeds for the operating system and applications once installed. Thermal management is handled by the Latitude chassis design for continuous office workloads.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I provide for the Latitude E5570 to run?

The laptop ships with no operating system, so you must supply and install Windows, Linux or another OS yourself before it will boot.

Can I keep my existing DDR3 memory modules when upgrading this machine?

Yes — the system uses DDR3 RAM and has two slots supporting up to 16 GB total, so compatible modules you already own can be reused.

How can I confirm the 240 GB SATA SSD is recognised after installation?

Enter the BIOS at startup and check the drive list; the 240 GB SATA SSD should appear there, and the OS installer will also show it as an available target.
