Ready-to-deploy business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a new 15.6-inch FHD notebook built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory in two slots, supporting up to 16GB total, and a new 500GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch panel and Intel HD Graphics 520 handle everyday office workloads without a discrete GPU. No operating system is installed.

Best for fleets that image their own OS

Organisations that maintain a standard Windows or Linux image can deploy this unit immediately, avoiding licence costs for an OS they do not need. The 500GB SSD and 16GB memory ceiling cover typical productivity, web and video-conferencing scenarios. Buyers who require a pre-loaded operating system, a touchscreen, dedicated graphics or more than 500GB of internal storage should consider a different configuration.

No operating system included

The single specification that decides fit is the absence of any operating system; the purchaser must supply and install Windows, Linux or another OS before the laptop can be used.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6" chassis use a standard 2.5" SATA bay for the 500GB SSD?

Yes, the 500GB SSD is a 2.5" SATA drive that fits the internal bay.

What is the correct order to seat the two DDR3 SO-DIMM sticks so the i7-6600U recognises the full 8GB?

Insert each module at an angle until the clips click; the system has two slots and supports up to 16GB total.

When will the CMOS battery on the motherboard need replacement?

The coin-cell battery typically lasts several years; replace it when the system loses date or BIOS settings on cold boot.
