Genuine Dell Palmrest Overlay

This genuine Dell palmrest protector overlay is designed for the Latitude E6400 XFR laptop. It includes the precise cut-out for the biometric fingerprint reader. The part number is C101M and the item is supplied new.

Passive Surface Protection

The overlay adds a durable layer that shields the palmrest from daily wear and scratches. It requires no power and generates no noise or heat. Installation is a simple physical application to the existing chassis.

Sustained Daily Durability

Under continuous typing and tracking the protector maintains its adhesion and surface integrity. It resists the oils and abrasion that degrade the original finish over time. The fingerprint reader cut-out remains aligned through extended use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the C101M palmrest overlay on my Latitude E6400 XFR and what step do people miss?

Remove the old overlay, align the C101M cut-out with the fingerprint reader, then press firmly across the full surface to bond the adhesive; the step often missed is cleaning the chassis with isopropyl alcohol first so the new overlay adheres securely.

What maintenance or replacement will the C101M overlay need over time?

The overlay is a wear item; replace it when the surface texture becomes glossy, the fingerprint-reader cut-out edges lift, or physical damage affects the palmrest feel.

What limit appears first on the C101M overlay during sustained daily use?

The adhesive bond and surface texture degrade first; expect edges to lift or the matte finish to wear smooth after extended typing and palm contact.
