Latitude E6420 14.1" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E6420 is a 14.1 inch business laptop with an Intel Core i7-2620M dual-core processor running at 2.70 GHz. It includes 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 256 GB solid state drive. The HD LED display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Upgrade from mechanical drives and less memory

The 2.5 inch 256 GB SSD replaces a traditional hard drive for faster boot times and application loading. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory doubles the typical 8 GB configuration found in many units of this era. The jump is worth it when daily workloads keep several browser tabs, office suites and background services open simultaneously.

Sustained workload behaviour

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 shares system memory and handles desktop composition and video playback without a discrete chip. Under continuous load the dual-core processor maintains its base frequency while the fan manages heat within the compact chassis. The Trusted Platform Module chip provides hardware-based security functions during extended sessions.
