Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7250 packs an Intel Core i5 5300U running at 2.3GHz with dual cores into a 12.5-inch chassis. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. Built for everyday office tasks, it includes a 720p webcam, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 2.30GHz dual-core processor handles typical productivity loads such as document editing, web browsing and video calls without thermal throttling in normal use. Integrated Intel HD Graphics shares system memory, so extended heavy GPU tasks will reduce available RAM for other applications.

Build and connectivity

The chassis measures 12.2 by 8.3 by .8 inches and offers USB, HDMI, LAN, Mini DisplayPort and an SD card reader for peripheral flexibility. A non-touch HD panel at 1366 by 768 keeps weight and power draw low. Ports cover legacy and modern display needs without requiring adapters.

Questions about this item

How much fan noise and heat does the i5-5300U produce when the laptop runs all day?

The dual-core i5-5300U runs at 2.30GHz with a low thermal design, so the 12.5 inch chassis stays cool and the fan remains quiet during extended use.

What must I already own to start using this Latitude E7250?

The unit ships with Windows 10 Pro, 8GB memory and a 256GB SSD installed, so only a power outlet is required to begin working.

Will the HDMI and Mini DisplayPort outputs drive the older 1366 x 768 monitor I want to keep?

Yes, both video ports support that resolution, letting you extend or mirror the built-in 12.5 inch HD screen without extra adapters.
