A 12.5" FHD business laptop with an Intel Core i7-6600U, 16GB DDR4 and a new 500GB SSD
The Dell Latitude E7270 is a 12.5 inch FHD laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 500GB SSD using a 2.5 SATA interface. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed, making it ready for office work straight out of the box. The non-touch display runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 keeps power demands modest during typical productivity tasks such as document editing, email and web browsing. With a base clock of 2.60 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz, the U-series chip is designed for low thermal output in a thin chassis. Fan activity stays quiet under light loads, and the solid-state drive eliminates mechanical noise. Battery life will vary with workload and screen brightness.
This unit replaces an older dual-core ultraportable that struggles with 8GB of memory or a spinning hard drive. The jump is worth it when you need 16GB of DDR4 for smooth multitasking and the responsiveness of a fresh 500GB SSD. It is not for buyers who want more storage capacity, a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen, or a larger display for creative work.

Remove the base cover, slide the 500GB 2.5" SATA SSD into the caddy, secure it with the screws, then reconnect the SATA data and power cables; the step often missed is forgetting to plug in both cables before reassembling the laptop.
The 16GB DDR4 memory is already at the maximum supported capacity of 16 GB across two slots, so no upgrade is possible; only replacement of a failed module would be required later.
The Intel HD Graphics 520 shares system memory and has a modest thermal envelope, so the first limit under sustained use is thermal throttling that reduces GPU clocks to protect the processor.
