Latitude E7450 14" HD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals needing a lightweight

This configuration suits users who need a portable 14 inch device for office applications, web browsing and video conferencing with the integrated webcam. The 1366 x 768 resolution and Intel HD Graphics 5500 limit its usefulness for detailed design work or modern gaming. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher resolution display should look at other models.

Standard laptop setup with fixed memory ceiling

Initial setup follows the typical Windows 10 out-of-box experience requiring only network connection and account creation. The 16GB DDR3 memory reaches the maximum supported capacity of 16 GB across two slots so no further RAM upgrades are possible. Storage expansion is limited to replacing the single 2.5 inch SATA drive.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop need any extra memory modules to reach the 16 GB already installed?

Can I keep using a 2.5-inch SATA drive from an older machine in this Latitude E7450?
