Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14 inch laptop built for business users who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. It ships with an Intel Core i5 5th Gen processor at 2.80GHz, 16GB of DDR3 memory and a 128GB SSD. The non-touch screen keeps weight down for daily commutes.

Upgrade from older dual-core or hard-drive systems

This unit replaces ageing laptops limited to 4GB or 8GB of RAM and mechanical storage. The jump is worth it when your workflow demands 16GB memory ceiling and SSD responsiveness for multitasking, web apps and document handling. Buyers who need more storage or a second drive bay should look elsewhere.

Ready to work out of the box

Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit activates automatically via the installed digital licence, so there is no 25 character key to enter. The supplier has already wiped data to DOD standards and verified every port and connector. Memory is maxed at 16GB across two slots, so no further RAM upgrades are possible.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" chassis accept a 2.5-inch drive in its single bay?

The laptop ships with a 128GB SSD installed and has no optical drive, so the internal bay is already occupied by that drive.

Which screws or clips must be released to reach the two DDR3 slots?

Remove the base cover screws, lift the cover, then press the side latches on each slot to release or insert the 16GB DDR3 modules.

When will the 128GB SSD or the 16GB DDR3 memory need replacement?

Replace the SSD if SMART reports reallocated sectors or capacity drops; swap the DDR3 modules if memory diagnostics show persistent errors.
