What this laptop is

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor at 2.3 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB SSD, running Windows 10 Home on integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500. The non-touch screen has a 1366 x 768 resolution.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

This suits mobile professionals who need a lightweight 14-inch chassis with HDMI and mini DisplayPort for projectors or external monitors. It also fits buyers who want a tested Windows 10 device with gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n wireless. It does not suit users who need a touchscreen, a larger SSD, discrete graphics, or a higher-resolution panel.

The specification that decides fit

The 128 GB SSD capacity is the decisive figure: it holds the operating system and core applications but leaves little room for large media libraries or virtual machines. If your workflow needs more local storage, this configuration will not be sufficient.
