Target user

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-5600U processor. It suits mobile professionals who need a compact Windows 10 machine with 16GB of DDR3 memory for everyday office applications and web browsing.

Build integration

The system includes a NEW 128GB SSD using a 2.5 inch SATA interface, leaving the second memory slot unused because 16GB is the maximum supported capacity. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles the 1920 x 1080 display without requiring a discrete graphics card or extra power connections.

Sustained behaviour

Under continuous load the processor can reach a turbo frequency of 3.20 GHz while the integrated graphics share system memory. The 128GB solid-state drive keeps read and write latency low during long sessions, and the chassis manages heat without the need for additional cooling hardware.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i7-5600U throttle under long workloads?

The dual-core processor runs at a 2.60 GHz base frequency and can reach a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency; sustained loads will sit at or below the base clock once thermal limits are reached.

How loud or hot does the 14.0" FHD laptop get during all-day use?

The Intel HD Graphics 5500 integrated GPU shares the same thermal envelope as the CPU, so fan speed rises only when combined CPU and graphics load pushes the package toward its limit.

What memory type must already be installed for the 16GB DDR3 to function?

The system uses DDR3 SODIMM modules across two slots, and the 16 GB configuration fills both slots to the 16 GB maximum supported.
