Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch FHD notebook powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz with turbo to 3.40 GHz. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. No operating system is installed.

OS and memory limits

The unit arrives without an operating system so you must provide your own Windows or Linux licence and installation media. Memory is maxed at 16 GB across two slots so no further RAM upgrade is possible. Verify that your preferred OS supports the Intel 6th generation platform and that any required drivers are available before ordering.

Thermals and power in daily use

The ultra-low-voltage i7-6600U and integrated graphics keep heat and fan noise modest during typical office workloads. The 14.0 inch chassis dissipates warmth through a compact internal cooler so surface temperatures stay comfortable on a desk. Power draw remains low enough for all-day battery mobility in light use.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop arrive with an operating system or do I need to supply one?

The unit ships with no operating system installed, so you must provide and install Windows or another OS yourself.

Is the 16 GB DDR4 memory expandable beyond what is already fitted?

Both memory slots are occupied to reach the 16 GB maximum the board supports, so no further RAM upgrade is possible.

How does the Intel HD Graphics 520 perform for everyday office work and video playback?

The integrated GPU handles typical productivity apps and 1080p video smoothly, but it is not suited for modern gaming or heavy 3D rendering.
