14" FHD Latitude E7470

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB DDR4 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. It ships without an operating system installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits users needing a portable 14" device for office applications and web browsing with integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. It is not for buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor or a touchscreen display. The two memory slots support a maximum of 16 GB total capacity.

Operating system responsibility

The product arrives with no operating system installed. The buyer must acquire and install their own version of Windows or an alternative OS before the laptop can be used. This single factor decides whether the unit is the right part for your workflow.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-6600U reaches its 3.40 GHz turbo frequency after setup?

Open Task Manager or a monitoring tool and run a demanding single-thread task; the CPU clock should climb to 3.40 GHz on at least one core if thermals allow.

What items are included and what must I supply to make the laptop operational?

The box contains the Latitude E7470 chassis with a 14.0" FHD panel, the i7-6600U processor, 8GB DDR4 soldered and slotted, and a NEW 240GB M.2 NVMe drive; you must provide an operating system licence and installation media.

Should I choose the 8GB configuration or plan to upgrade toward the 16 GB maximum?

The unit ships with 8GB DDR4 across two slots; if your workloads regularly exceed that, purchase two 8GB DDR4 modules to reach the 16 GB ceiling.
