Built for mobile professionals

This Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a 2.20 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD, and it ships without an operating system.

Suits users needing a ready-to-deploy classic

The integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 handles everyday office workloads and external displays. Two memory slots support up to 16 GB total RAM for future upgrades. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen panel, or a pre-installed operating system should look at something else.

The 2.5" SATA SSD interface defines upgrade limits

Storage expansion is restricted to the 2.5-inch SATA form factor used by the included 1TB drive. Faster or differently shaped storage cannot be installed in this platform.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I supply myself to run this Latitude E7470?

The laptop ships with no operating system installed, so you will need to provide and install your own copy of Windows, Linux or another OS.

Can I keep using my existing 2.5-inch SATA drives with the 1 TB SSD already fitted?

The 1 TB SSD occupies the single 2.5-inch SATA bay, so additional 2.5-inch drives cannot be added unless you replace the installed SSD.

How can I verify the Intel Iris Graphics 540 is active after I install my OS?

After installing the OS and drivers, open Device Manager and confirm Intel Iris Graphics 540 appears under Display adapters without error codes.
