Ready-to-run 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 ships with a 1920 x 1080 FHD display, an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor reaching 3.40 GHz turbo, and 16GB DDR4 memory. A new 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD is already installed. The unit arrives without an operating system so the owner can load Windows or Linux immediately.

Fits standard 2.5" drive bays and DDR4 slots

The 1TB SSD uses a 2.5" SATA form factor that slides into common laptop bays without adapters. Memory occupies two slots at the 16GB maximum supported, leaving no free DIMM sockets for expansion. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles display output without a discrete card, keeping power draw low for mobile use.

No OS means full software freedom

Because no operating system is pre-installed, there are no trial apps, vendor partitions or licence keys to remove. The buyer installs a clean Windows or Linux build, choosing drivers and encryption setup from the first boot. This avoids bloatware and gives IT teams a consistent image across deployments.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-6600U throttle under continuous load because of thermal limits?

The dual-core i7-6600U runs at 2.60 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo; sustained heavy work will push the chip to its thermal ceiling and trigger throttling.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the laptop runs all day?

With Intel HD Graphics 520 and a 14.0" FHD panel, the compact body relies on a single fan that becomes audible and the keyboard deck warms noticeably under load.

What must I supply myself because the unit ships without an operating system?

You need a Windows licence or other OS installation media; the 1TB SATA SSD is blank and ready for your chosen platform.
