Suits mobile professionals needing a compact

This system fits users who want a lightweight 14-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540, and 16GB of memory already at the supported maximum. Buyers who require a touchscreen, discrete graphics or more than two memory slots should consider other options.

Fixed 16GB DDR4 memory ceiling

The laptop supports a maximum of 16GB across two slots, and that capacity is already installed. Anyone planning to upgrade memory beyond this limit cannot do so with this model.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5" SATA SSD and what step do people get wrong?

The 128 GB drive fits in the 2.5-inch SATA bay; the step people miss is seating the SATA connector fully before tightening the caddy screws.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16 GB DDR4 memory need later?

Both DDR4 slots are already filled to the 16 GB maximum, so any future upgrade requires replacing the existing modules rather than adding more.

What limit appears first on the Intel Iris Graphics 540 during sustained loads?

The integrated GPU shares system memory and thermal headroom with the dual-core i7-6650U, so graphics throttling typically arrives before the CPU hits its 3.40 GHz turbo ceiling.
