Latitude E7470 14" HD laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch HD laptop built for mobile professionals who need a compact Windows 10 machine. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a base clock of 2.20 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. Integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 handles the 1366 x 768 display. The system ships new with a 2TB SSD and 8GB of DDR4 memory.

2TB SATA SSD and 8GB DDR4 with 16GB ceiling

A new 2.5 inch SATA SSD provides 2TB of storage capacity for large document libraries and local backups. The 8GB of installed DDR4 memory supports everyday multitasking across office applications and browser tabs. Two memory slots allow an upgrade to a maximum of 16GB when workloads demand more headroom. Storage and memory combined cover typical business workflows without bottlenecks.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5-inch SATA 2TB SSD fit in the same drive bay as the hard drive from my older Latitude?

Yes, the 2TB SSD uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA form factor, so it occupies the same bay and connector as a traditional hard drive in compatible Dell Latitude models.

How can I confirm the Intel Iris Graphics 540 is active after installing Windows 10 Home?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify that Intel Iris Graphics 540 appears without any warning icons; the driver version shown should match the Intel download for 6th-generation Core processors.

Does the box include a second DDR4 SO-DIMM so I can reach the 16 GB maximum, or must I buy it separately?

The system ships with 8 GB installed in one of the two slots; a second DDR4 SO-DIMM is not included and must be purchased separately to reach the 16 GB maximum.
