Built for business mobility

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7 6th Gen processor running at 2.60GHz. It comes with 8GB of memory and a 128GB SSD that may actually provide between 120GB and 128GB of usable space. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed with a recovery image on the drive.

Stepping up from older ultraportables

This unit replaces machines limited to mechanical drives or dual-core processors, delivering solid-state responsiveness and four logical threads for typical office workloads. The jump is worthwhile when you need reliable wake-from-sleep, a matte 1366 x 768 display and a chassis validated for daily transport without the bulk of larger workstations.

Suits mobile professionals on a budget

It fits users who prioritise a lightweight 14 inch form factor, integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 output and a proven Latitude keyboard for document-heavy days. Buyers who want more storage headroom, a higher-resolution panel, a touchscreen or a dedicated graphics engine should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" chassis accept standard 2.5" drives or only the M.2 128GB SSD?

The laptop ships with a 128GB M.2 SSD and no 2.5" bay is listed, so only M.2 storage fits.

Which screw or latch secures the bottom cover for the RAM upgrade?

Remove the nine Torx screws on the base, lift the cover, then press the SO-DIMM into the second slot until it clicks.

When should the 128GB M.2 SSD be replaced?

Replace it when Windows 10 Pro reports low space or SMART warnings appear; clone to a larger M.2 drive to keep the recovery image.
