Latitude E7470 14 FHD Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch Full HD laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a base speed of 2.20 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 240GB M.2 NVMe SSD for the operating system and applications.

16GB DDR4 and 240GB NVMe Drive Impact

The 16GB DDR4 configuration fills both memory slots and reaches the maximum supported capacity, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. The new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD provides solid-state boot and load speeds without any mechanical hard drive installed. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and ready to use.

Dual-Core i7-6650U Decides Suitability

The Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with 3.40 GHz turbo determines whether this laptop handles your workload. Buyers who need more cores for heavy multi-threaded tasks such as video rendering or virtualization will find the two-core limit restrictive. The integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 suits office applications and media playback but not modern 3D gaming or GPU compute workloads.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later or will it need replacement?

The board has two slots but the maximum supported memory is 16 GB, so the installed modules already reach the limit and cannot be expanded.

What limits the Intel Core i7-6650U during sustained workloads?

The dual-core processor runs at a 2.20 GHz base with a 3.40 GHz turbo, so extended heavy loads will hit thermal constraints that pull clocks back toward the base frequency.

How loud or hot does the 14.0" FHD laptop get when running all day?

The compact 14.0 inch chassis uses a single fan to cool the CPU and Iris 540 graphics, so continuous operation produces noticeable fan noise and warm surface temperatures.
