Business-class ultraportable

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop built for professionals who need a compact Windows 10 Home machine. It ships with an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo, 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The 1366 x 768 non-touch display keeps the chassis light for daily commuting.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with Windows 10 Home 64-bit pre-installed so first boot only requires user account setup and driver updates. Memory is soldered to the board and the single M.2 slot is already occupied by the 500GB drive, so storage expansion means cloning or replacing that module. Buyers who want more storage or a second drive cannot add one internally.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under continuous load the dual-core U-series CPU will throttle to maintain thermal limits, so long compiles or heavy multitasking run slower than short bursts. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles desktop video and light GPU tasks but is not suited for 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads. The 16GB DDR4 ceiling is fixed at 16 GB, limiting virtual-machine density for extended sessions.
