14-inch FHD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The system ships without an operating system installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits buyers who need a portable 14-inch device with a 1920 x 1080 display, Intel HD Graphics 520 and 8GB of DDR4 memory for office applications. It is not for buyers who require a touchscreen, a dedicated graphics processor, more than 16 GB of memory or a pre-installed operating system.

Deciding specification: 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD

The single specification that decides fit is the 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, which sets both the storage capacity and the interface type for the primary drive. The board provides two memory slots supporting up to 16 GB of DDR4, so storage expansion depends on this M.2 slot.
