Business ultraportable for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine on the move. It pairs a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U processor with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a new 128GB SATA SSD. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display provides a crisp workspace for documents and web apps.

Sustained performance with integrated graphics

Under continuous load the i7-6600U runs at its 2.60 GHz base frequency and can reach a 3.40 GHz turbo when thermal headroom allows. The Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks and video playback without a discrete GPU. With 16GB of memory installed the system matches the maximum supported capacity, so multitasking remains smooth during long sessions.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The compact chassis manages heat from the low-power U-series chip using an internal fan that stays quiet during typical office workloads. Surface temperatures stay comfortable for lap use while browsing or editing files. Power draw remains modest, allowing the battery to last through a standard workday without needing a recharge.

Questions about this item

How hot and loud does the Core i7-6600U run when the Latitude E7470 is under load all day?

The dual-core i7-6600U has a base speed of 2.60 GHz and a turbo of 3.40 GHz, so sustained workloads will push the cooling fan but the 14.0" chassis keeps thermals manageable for office tasks.

What must I already own to use the 128GB SSD and 16GB DDR4 in this Latitude E7470?

The 128GB drive uses a 2.5" SATA connection and the memory slots accept DDR4 modules; no extra caddies or adapters are required for the installed components.

Will my older SATA peripherals work alongside the 128GB SSD in this E7470?

Yes, the 2.5" SATA interface on the 128GB SSD is compatible with legacy SATA drives and docks you may still use.
