Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD for fast storage access. The non-touch FHD display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles visual output. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Connectivity for travel and meetings

A slim black chassis houses three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port and one mini DisplayPort for external monitors or projectors. Gigabit Ethernet provides wired network access while 802.11n or better wireless supports mobile connectivity. An SD card reader and integrated webcam complete the peripheral set. No optical drive is fitted. The laptop includes a charger and battery.

Efficient thermal profile

The low-power Skylake architecture helps extend battery runtime during typical office workloads. Integrated graphics eliminate discrete GPU heat, keeping fan noise modest under light multitasking. The NVMe SSD draws less power than mechanical drives, further supporting mobile use. Sustained heavy compute loads will raise temperatures and fan speed within the slim form factor.

Questions about this item

What display outputs does the 14" FHD E7470 provide for external monitors?

One full-size HDMI port and one mini DisplayPort are built in; both can drive a second screen at 1920 x 1080 without an adapter for HDMI.

Which storage form factor and interface does the 1 TB drive use?

The 1 TB SSD is an M.2 NVMe PCIe module, so it occupies the internal M.2 slot and leaves no 2.5" bay to populate.

What is the correct order to initialise Windows 10 Pro on this Skylake i7-6600U system?

Power on, follow the out-of-box experience prompts, then run Windows Update until no further updates appear; the step often skipped is installing the Dell driver pack for chipset, Intel HD Graphics 520, and wireless 802.11 before restoring personal files.
