Latitude E7470 laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude E7470 combines an Intel Core i7 2.60GHz processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD in a 14.0 inch non-touch chassis. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed and activated. This configuration suits office work, web browsing and light multitasking on the move.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dual-core 6th generation i7 runs at 2.60GHz with 8GB DDR4 soldered to the maximum supported capacity. Under continuous load the processor maintains its base frequency within the slim thermal envelope. The SSD keeps read and write latency low during extended file operations. No memory upgrade path exists beyond the installed 8GB.

Practical limits of the wireless

Wireless connectivity uses 802.11a/b/g WLAN with Bluetooth support. The 256GB SSD provides solid-state speed but caps total local storage at that figure. Two memory slots are present yet the platform maximum remains 8GB. Buyers who need more storage or higher wireless throughput should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" screen model run quietly during extended use?

The 14.0" chassis uses a low-voltage Intel Core i7 2.60GHz processor and a 256GB SSD with no moving parts, so typical office workloads produce minimal fan noise.

What must I already own to start working with the 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR4 configuration?

Only the included 64-bit Windows 10 Pro licence and a power adapter are required; the 8GB DDR4 memory is soldered to its 8GB maximum and the 256GB SSD is already installed.

Will my older 802.11a/b/g wireless router connect reliably to this laptop?

Yes, the built-in 802.11a/b/g WLAN module is designed for legacy routers and will associate at the highest common rate both devices support.
