Genuine Dell rugged bezel

This genuine Dell OEM 12.1" LCD front trim cover bezel is built for the rugged Latitude XT2 XFR tablet. It restores the original front fascia on devices used in field service, utilities or public-safety roles. Buyers needing a non-rugged Latitude bezel or a different screen size cannot use this part.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive plastic cover the bezel adds no heat, noise or power draw to the system. It simply snaps onto the existing chassis without affecting battery life or fan behaviour.

Replaces damaged rugged trim

The part replaces a cracked, scratched or missing front bezel on a Latitude XT2 XFR and includes the fingerprint reader cut-out. The upgrade is worth it when the current bezel compromises screen protection or biometric login on a deployed rugged tablet.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the 12.1" LCD front trim bezel onto my Latitude XT2 XFR tablet?

Remove the old bezel, align the new trim with the display edge, and press firmly until the clips engage; the fingerprint reader cut-out must sit exactly over the sensor or the reader will not function.

What part of this bezel will wear out first and need replacing?

The plastic mounting tabs that snap into the chassis can become brittle after repeated removal, so the whole bezel is replaced as a single unit when tabs break.

What limits how long this bezel stays secure under daily rugged use?

Repeated flexing of the tablet chassis stresses the snap-fit tabs, and they are the first point to lose grip on the 12.1" rugged frame.
