Buyers needing a light business notebook

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory and suits office applications, web browsing and video playback. It is not for buyers who want discrete graphics for gaming, CAD or heavy 3D rendering. The 256GB drive may also feel tight for users with large local media libraries or multiple virtual machines.

Sustained office workloads on integrated graphics

Under continuous load the quad-core chip maintains its base frequency while the UHD 620 draws from the 16GB memory pool. Thermal limits in the compact chassis mean clocks will settle below peak turbo after several minutes. Performance stays consistent for document editing, email and streaming, but extended compile jobs or video exports will run slower than on a larger workstation.
