Dell 3165NGW M.2 wireless adapter

The Dell MHK36 3165NGW is an M.2 form-factor card that adds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to compatible laptops or small-form-factor desktops. It targets builders and technicians upgrading or repairing systems with an available M.2 key-E slot.

Sustained wireless operation

The Intel dual-band radio maintains a stable link during long file transfers, video calls or streaming sessions without the throughput drop-off seen in brief benchmark bursts. Thermal throttling is mitigated by the low-profile design that sits flush against the motherboard.

Build and everyday connectivity

The card uses a standard M.2 2230 footprint with gold-edge contacts for reliable seating in the slot. Two U.FL antenna connectors on the board edge allow the existing laptop or chassis antennas to be attached for consistent day-to-day range.

The MHK36 3165NGW is an M.2 card that plugs directly into a compatible M.2 slot; separate antenna cables and antennas must already be present in the laptop or desktop chassis.

Will the MHK36 3165NGW work in an older laptop that only has a half-size mini-PCIe Wi-Fi slot?

No, the MHK36 3165NGW uses an M.2 2230 form factor and will not fit a mini-PCIe slot without an adapter, which is not included.
