System board for PowerEdge M600 servers, weighing 5.1 units
This Dell My736 system board is a direct replacement component for the PowerEdge M600 server platform. It restores full motherboard functionality when the original board has failed or requires an upgrade. IT departments and server technicians use it to return blade systems to service quickly.
The board operates within the standard thermal envelope defined for the PowerEdge M600 chassis. Cooling is managed by the blade enclosure fans, so the module itself adds no independent noise source. Power consumption follows the server's original design specifications for this component.

Slide the board into the blade chassis until the connector seats firmly, then secure the captive retention screws; the step often missed is torquing those screws to the specified value so the board makes full contact with the backplane.
The board itself has no user-serviceable parts; plan to replace the CMOS battery on the board every three to five years and reseat the unit if the blade reports a chassis-connection fault.
