This replacement lid assembly fits Dell Studio 1535, 1536 and 1537 notebooks and carries the "Bunch O Surfers" artwork by Mike Ming with black trim. It ships new with left and right hinges, wireless antenna cables, the power button and its cable, plus the WiFi catcher button and circuit board already installed. No front bezel is included, so the original trim must be reused or sourced separately.

Upgrading from a cracked or faded original lid

The part replaces a damaged factory cover on the same chassis; the jump is worth it when the existing lid has broken hinge mounts, snapped plastic or a worn finish that cannot be repaired. It is not for owners of other Dell 15-inch models such as the Inspiron or XPS lines, nor for anyone needing a plain colour without the surfers graphic.

Straightforward swap for experienced laptop

Installation requires a full display-panel teardown: remove the bezel, disconnect the antenna and button cables, unbolt the old hinges and fit the new assembly in reverse order. Common pitfalls are pinching the antenna wires between the hinge and chassis, forgetting to route the WiFi catcher flex cable, and cracking the replacement lid while tightening hinge screws unevenly.
