14.0" Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch refurbished laptop built for daily office work. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit installed and uses a dual-core Intel Core i5-5300U processor running at 2.30 GHz. Eight gigabytes of memory and a 240 GB solid-state drive handle standard productivity tasks. The chassis omits an optical drive to save weight.

Windows 10 Pro and SSD Benefits

The included Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit licence enables domain join, BitLocker encryption and remote desktop features used in managed environments. The 240 GB SSD replaces a mechanical hard drive, cutting boot times and application launch delays. Eight gigabytes of system memory allows several business applications to remain open simultaneously without heavy paging.

Suited for Managed Office Roles

This unit suits professionals who need a managed Windows 10 Pro device for email, documents and web-based tools. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for design or engineering workloads should look elsewhere. Users needing more than 240 GB of internal storage for large local datasets will find the capacity limiting. The dual-core processor is not intended for sustained multi-threaded rendering or compilation.

Questions about this item

Will the 240 GB SSD in this Latitude E5450 need replacement if I store more files?

The 240 GB SSD is the primary drive; adding a second drive depends on an available internal bay which is not confirmed in the specifications.

What limits sustained performance on the Core i5-5300U at 2.30 GHz?

The dual-core Broadwell processor and 8 GB of memory set the processing ceiling for continuous workloads.

How much heat and noise does the 14.0 inch chassis produce during all-day use?

The thin magnesium-alloy design relies on a single fan; sustained loads will raise surface temperature and fan speed noticeably.
