Mobile workstation with 15.6" UHD touch display

The Dell Precision 5510 is a refurbished mobile workstation built around a quad-core Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor running at 2.7 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3L 1600 memory and a 512 GB SSD, driving a 15.6-inch touchscreen at 3840 x 2160 resolution under Windows 10. The system uses integrated graphics and includes an internal battery and AC adaptor.

Suited for portable CAD and content review.

This configuration suits professionals who need a colour-accurate UHD touch panel for reviewing designs, editing photos or presenting work on the move. The integrated graphics and DDR3L memory limit sustained 3D rendering, video export or large simulation workloads, so buyers who need dedicated GPU acceleration should look at something else.

Quad-core i7-6820HQ with integrated graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of a quad-core i7-6820HQ CPU and integrated graphics. If your workflow relies on GPU compute or discrete graphics memory, this Precision 5510 will not meet that need; if CPU-bound tasks and a high-resolution touch display are the priority, the hardware matches the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the Precision 5510 come with an AC adaptor so I can power it immediately?

The package includes the laptop, battery and AC adaptor, so you can connect to mains power straight away.

Will my existing DDR3L 1600 memory modules work if I decide to upgrade the 16 GB already installed?

The system uses DDR3L 1600 memory, so compatible modules of that type will function alongside the factory-installed 16 GB.

How can I verify the 3840 x 2160 UHD touchscreen is operating correctly after setup?

Open Display Settings and confirm the resolution reads 3840 x 2160, then test touch response by tapping icons and using multi-finger gestures.
