Refurbished Dell E5450 for business use

This refurbished Dell E5450 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5200U dual-core processor running at 2.2 GHz. It comes with 8GB of memory and a 128GB SSD, running Windows 10 Pro. The unit is sold as B grade stock, meaning it shows cosmetic wear such as dents, scuffs or a shiny keyboard, and it has no integrated webcam.

Cosmetic wear and daily connectivity

The B grade classification indicates the chassis may have dents, chips or scuffs, while the screen can show hairline scratches. The keyboard may feel worn or shiny from previous use. A 1366 x 768 non-touch display handles standard office tasks, and integrated graphics drive the panel without a discrete GPU. The package includes the laptop, a battery and an AC adaptor for immediate power.

Ready to deploy with Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed, providing business features such as BitLocker and domain join without extra setup. The included battery and AC adaptor mean the system can be used away from a desk or docked at a workstation straight away. Buyers needing a built-in webcam, a touchscreen, an optical drive or larger storage capacity should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0 inch 1366 x 768 panel need a specific display cable when replacing it?

The non-touch 14.0 inch screen uses a standard 30-pin eDP cable; match the connector on the old panel before ordering a replacement.

What screw pattern does the 128GB SSD use to mount in this E5450?

The drive slides into the M.2 2280 slot and is secured with a single M2×3 mm screw standoff already on the motherboard.

Which driver must be installed first after a clean Windows 10 Pro load on the Core i5-5200U?

Run the Dell chipset utility first so the integrated graphics and power management enumerate correctly before any other drivers.
