Refurbished 14-inch business laptop

This Dell Latitude 5490 is a refurbished 14.0-inch notebook powered by an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor at 1.60 GHz. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The chassis shows cosmetic wear such as dents, scuffs or a shiny keyboard, and the screen may have fine scratches.

Suits mobile professionals needing a managed fleet

Buyers who want a pristine cosmetic appearance should look elsewhere, as this B-grade unit has visible body wear and possible screen marks. Users who require a dedicated graphics card for CAD, rendering or gaming will not find one here. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 relies on shared system memory.

FHD non-touch display with Windows 11 compatibility

The 1920 x 1080 FHD panel is a non-touch wide-screen display driven by integrated graphics. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is installed and the hardware meets Windows 11 requirements. A webcam is included for video calls.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Intel Core i5-8250U get when the Latitude 5490 runs all day?

The quad-core i5-8250U operates at 1.60 GHz base speed with Intel UHD Graphics 620, so sustained office workloads keep thermals and fan noise at typical business-laptop levels.

What must I already own to start working with this 14.0" FHD unit?

Only the included 64-bit Windows 10 Pro licence and the 16 GB memory plus 256 GB SSD already installed; no extra parts are required to boot and run.

Will my older USB-A peripherals and external 1080p monitor work with the 5490?

Yes — the laptop retains full-size USB-A ports and native 1920 x 1080 output, so legacy keyboards, mice and FHD displays connect without adapters.
