Business-ready refurbished laptop

The DELL Latitude 7490 is a refurbished 14.0-inch notebook powered by an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 6 MB L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB of system memory and a 256 GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The non-touch FHD panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution for everyday office tasks.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares system memory, keeping heat output modest during typical productivity workloads. The efficient Kaby Lake R architecture helps maintain low fan noise under light multitasking. Power draw stays contained thanks to the U-series design and absence of a discrete GPU.

Grade A cosmetic condition benefits

Grade A rating means the chassis shows minimal wear, presenting a professional appearance for client-facing roles. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, so the device is ready for domain join and BitLocker encryption immediately. The 256 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM combination supports smooth multi-app workflows without extra upgrades.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 256GB SSD in the Latitude 7490, and what step is often missed?

The SSD slots into the internal M.2 connector; the step often missed is re-enabling the drive in the BIOS boot order after the physical swap.

What maintenance will the 16GB memory and 256GB SSD need later?

The 16GB memory is soldered and needs no service; the 256GB SSD has no moving parts, so only firmware updates via Windows 10 Pro 64-bit are recommended.

What limit appears first on the Intel UHD Graphics 620 during sustained loads?

Shared system memory caps graphics performance before the 6 MB L3 cache or 1920 x 1080 panel become bottlenecks.
