A 7.68 TB NVMe E3.S SSD for Dell PowerEdge servers including R660, R760 and R960 models
This Dell NKGTX drive is a 7.68 TB enterprise NVMe SSD in the E3.S form factor. It uses the PM1743 controller and TLC NAND for read-intensive workloads. The component is supplied new with firmware updated and tested for server deployment. It targets IT teams expanding storage in compatible Dell PowerEdge platforms.
Before ordering, verify that the target server appears in the supported list: C6615, C6620, MX760C, R470, R570, R660, R6615, R6625, R670, R6715, R6725, R760, R760XA, R760XD2, R7615, R7625, R770, R7715, R7725, R860, R960, XR7620. The drive fits E3.S bays and requires a backplane that supports the NVMe interface. Confirm the chassis has available E3.S slots and the correct drive carrier for the specific model.
As a solid-state device with no moving parts, the SSD produces no audible noise during operation. Heat output is governed by the PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface and the read-intensive workload profile. The drive relies on server airflow through the E3.S cage for cooling; ensure the chassis fans meet the platform thermal design. Power draw scales with queue depth and sustained read throughput typical of RI-class drives.

The drive itself is supplied. A compatible Dell PowerEdge server such as the R760 or R770 with an E3.S bay is required separately.
The PM1743 model listed is the read-intensive TLC variant designed for that workload profile.
It provides 7.68TB of usable NVMe storage for the operating system, applications or data volumes.
