Dell OptiPlex 9010 23" All-in-One PC

This all-in-one desktop integrates a 23-inch Full HD display with an Intel Core i3-3220 processor, 8 GB DDR3 memory and a 128 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, a DVD-RW drive, USB keyboard and mouse. The compact design suits office desks and reception counters where space is limited.

Suits general office work and light multitasking

The dual-core processor with Hyper-Threading handles web browsing, document editing and video calls. Buyers who need discrete graphics for CAD, rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The 128 GB drive fills quickly with large media libraries or local databases. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 cannot accelerate modern 3D workloads.

128 GB SSD capacity determines fit

This single solid-state drive holds the operating system and a modest set of applications. Users who store extensive project files, photo archives or video footage will require external or network storage. No additional internal drive bays are mentioned in the specifications. Plan storage topology before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I open the Dell OptiPlex 9010 AiO to add more DDR3 memory, and which step do people miss?

Lay the 23" unit face-down on a soft cloth, remove the stand, unscrew the rear cover, then press the SODIMM modules into the 204-pin slots until the clips click; the missed step is forgetting to re-seat the wireless antenna cables before snapping the cover back.

What parts will need replacement first on this OptiPlex 9010 all-in-one?

The DVD±RW drive mechanism and the 2.5" 128 GB SSD are the likeliest candidates; the optical drive wears from disc loading cycles, while the SSD has a finite write endurance that heavy workloads will exhaust sooner than the soldered components.

Which limit appears first during sustained loads on the Core i3-3220 with Intel HD Graphics 2000?

The integrated GPU hits its thermal ceiling before the CPU; prolonged 1920 x 1080 video or light 3D work causes the shared Dynamic Video Memory 5.0 to throttle, lowering frame rates while the processor still has headroom.
