DELL P318S DMD DLP Chip Projector Accessory

Genuine DMD DLP Chip for Dell P318S

This replacement DMD DLP chip is a genuine OEM part built for the Dell P318S projector. It restores the light engine so the projector can produce a clear image again. The component is extensively tested at least three times to confirm no dead pixels are present. It suits technicians or owners repairing a unit with a failed or degrading DMD.

Interface and installation limits

The chip integrates directly into the Dell P318S optical block and requires disassembly of the light engine. No alternative projectors or adapter boards are supported by this part number. Installation demands anti-static precautions and precise alignment to avoid dust contamination on the sensor surface. The 30-day warranty covers defects but does not extend to damage caused during fitting.

Capacity and headroom

The chip delivers the native resolution and brightness the Dell P318S was designed for, with verified pixel integrity across the full array. It handles standard presentation and video workloads without introducing artefacts. Headroom ends if the projector's illumination system or colour wheel has separate degradation, which this chip cannot correct. Buyers needing a complete optical module or a different native resolution should source the appropriate assembly.
