Genuine Dell OEM palmrest for Inspiron 15 7577

This genuine Dell OEM palmrest assembly carries part number T08KT and fits the Inspiron 15 7577 and G Series G5 5587 laptops. It replaces a worn or damaged top cover without requiring a full chassis swap. The touchpad module is not included and must be transferred from the original unit.

No active cooling or power draw involved

As a passive structural part the assembly generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no power during normal use. Installation simply restores the original keyboard deck rigidity and port alignment. Buyers needing an integrated touchpad or a different laptop series should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the T08KT palmrest on an Inspiron 15 7577 without damaging the keyboard ribbon cable?

Remove the bottom cover and battery first, then disconnect the keyboard ribbon cable before unscrewing the old palmrest. The cable connector is fragile and often torn when the assembly is lifted too early.

Will the separate touchpad module from my G5 5587 fit onto this replacement palmrest?

Yes, the existing touchpad module transfers directly onto the new palmrest because the mounting points and flex cable connector are identical on both the 7577 and 5587 chassis.
