DELL Perc H810 6Gb/S SAS RAID Controller 0Ndd93

SKU CH-JD1R-EFGR8

PCIe 2.0 SAS RAID controller with 1 GB cache, 6 Gb/s throughput

  • 6 Gb/s SAS throughput for fast storage arrays
  • PCI-Express 2.0 interface fits compatible Dell servers
  • 1 GB non-volatile cache protects data during power loss
  • Dell PERC H810 RAID controller with part number 0Ndd93

Dell Perc H810 6Gb/s SAS RAID Controller

This Dell Perc H810 controller adds 6Gb/s SAS RAID capability over a PCIe 2.0 slot. It includes 1GB of non-volatile cache to protect data during power loss. The card suits servers or workstations that need hardware RAID for SAS drives. Part number 0Ndd93 identifies the unit.

Best for SAS RAID arrays needing cache protection

Buyers who need a simple HBA without RAID functions should consider a different card. Systems limited to PCIe 1.x slots cannot use the 2.0 interface. Environments requiring higher interface speeds than 6Gb/s will need another solution. The 1GB cache is fixed and cannot be expanded.

Questions about this item

What PCIe slot version does the H810 6Gb/S SAS RAID Controller require?

The card uses a PCI-Express 2.0 interface, so it needs an available PCIe 2.0 or later slot on the motherboard.

How is the 1Gb NV cache module installed, and what step is often missed?

Insert the cache module into the dedicated socket on the controller board and ensure the retaining clip clicks shut; many users leave the clip unlatched, which prevents the cache from being recognised.
