Designed for 14" Notebooks

The Dell Professional Carrying Case PF-SL-BK-4-17 is a dedicated sleeve built to fit most 14-inch notebooks. It provides a lightweight layer of protection for daily transport between home, office or classroom. The slim profile slips easily into a larger bag or carries on its own.

Lightweight Construction and Dimensions

At 1.21 lb the sleeve adds minimal weight to your load. Its external dimensions measure 12 inches high by 15 inches wide by 1.8 inches deep, keeping the package compact. No active cooling or power draw is involved, so operation is completely silent.

Fit Limited to 14-Inch Devices

The case is sized specifically for 14-inch screen diagonals; larger 15-inch or 17-inch laptops will not fit inside. Buyers needing accommodation for bigger machines or additional accessory compartments should consider a larger briefcase or backpack instead.

Questions about this item

How do I slide the 14" notebook into the PF-SL-BK-4-17 sleeve without catching the corners?

Open the top flap fully, hold the sleeve flat, and insert the laptop hinge-first so the 12-inch height clears the opening before the 15-inch width engages.

What part of this sleeve wears out first and can I replace it?

The zipper track and interior lining see the most friction; neither is user-replaceable, so keep the zipper clean and avoid overstuffing the 1.8-inch depth.

At what load does the 1.21 lb sleeve start to deform under daily carry?

The semi-rigid panels hold shape up to the rated 14-inch device; adding bulky adapters beyond the 1.8-inch depth causes permanent creasing.
