What it is

The Dell Plus 2-in-1 is a convertible laptop with a 14 inch WUXGA touchscreen that flips 360 degrees into tablet, stand or tent modes. An Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor with 8 cores and integrated Arc 140V graphics drives the system. Windows 11 Pro runs on 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD.

Who it suits

Professionals who want a single device for desk work, presentations and note-taking on the touchscreen will appreciate the flexible hinge and Copilot+ AI features. Buyers who need discrete graphics for heavy rendering or gaming, or who require more than 32 GB of memory, should look at larger workstations.

Sustained behaviour

The 4-cell 65 Wh battery and integrated graphics keep thermals moderate during long document, web and video workloads. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 maintain stable wireless links. Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 ports support external displays without throttling the CPU during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop need an external monitor to use the Intel Arc 140V graphics at full performance?

No, the 14 inch WUXGA touchscreen with 300 nits brightness and 60 Hz refresh rate uses the integrated Intel Arc 140V graphics directly, so an external display is not required for full performance.

Can I keep using my existing USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C dock with this laptop's Thunderbolt 4 port?

Yes, the single Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port is backward compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C devices, so your current dock will work for data, video and power delivery.

How can I confirm the NPU is delivering the advertised 48 TOPS for AI workloads after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab and choose the NPU graph; it will show real-time utilisation and confirm the Intel AI Boost engine is active on the Core Ultra 9 288V.
