Genuine Dell power button cover

This is a genuine Dell OEM replacement part for the power button on select Latitude and Precision laptops. It fits Latitude 5520, 5540 and 5550 models as well as Precision 3560, 3580, 3581 and 3591 systems. The cover is the outer plastic piece that carries the power button icon. It is intended for units that do not have a fingerprint reader integrated into the button.

Single-piece plastic cover for daily use

The cover snaps into the chassis and protects the underlying switch from dust and accidental presses. It is a passive component with no electronics, so its behaviour under sustained load is the same as its behaviour in normal use. No degradation or performance change occurs over time because there are no active parts to wear out.

Check your laptop model and fingerprint option

Verify that your laptop appears in the compatible list above before ordering. Confirm that your system does not have the optional fingerprint reader built into the power button, because this cover is not designed for that configuration. The part number is R3WHJ.

No, the R3WHJ is a passive plastic cover with no electronics, so it produces no noise, heat or power draw.

What else must I already own for the R3WHJ cover to work on my laptop?

You need a compatible Dell Latitude 5520, 5540, 5550 or Precision 3560, 3580, 3581, 3591 that does not have the optional fingerprint reader.

Will the R3WHJ cover fit alongside the existing palm-rest and keyboard on an older Precision 3560?
