Half-width rack node with dual 32-core EPYC 7502 processors at 2.5 GHz, 128 GB DDR4-3200 memory and S150 RAID controller
This Dell PowerEdge C6525 half-width node is built for dense compute clusters and high-performance workloads. It ships with two AMD EPYC 7502 processors at 2.5GHz and 128GB of DDR4 memory across eight 16GB modules. The S150 controller handles local storage duties. Remote administration comes via iDRAC9 Express.
The 32-core CPUs excel in virtualization, rendering and scientific codes that scale across many threads. Buyers who need more storage bays or GPU acceleration should look at full-width alternatives. Single-threaded applications will not use the available core count efficiently. The single 1GbE link may limit data-heavy clusters.
Eight PC4-3200 modules fill the installed DIMM slots and set the practical memory ceiling for this node. Expansion beyond 128GB requires a different chassis or higher-density DIMMs not included here. Memory speed and capacity together define the working-set size for in-memory databases and large VM fleets.

The node is a half-width design that fits two nodes side-by-side in a single 2U C6525 chassis bay.
Align each CPU triangle marker with the socket key, lower the carrier gently, then press the 16 GB modules into the blue slots until the latches click.
Update iDRAC firmware during each maintenance window; replace the RAID controller battery module roughly every three to five years.
